Viện nghiên cứu Khoa học giáo dục, cung cấp dịch vụ tra cứu và chỉ dẫn thông tin khoa học công nghệ trong lĩnh vực giáo dục.
Nghiên cứu và ứng dụng:
Nghiên cứu lí luận
- Nghiên cứu các vấn đề thuộc lĩnh vực khoa học giáo dục;
-Nghiên cứu các vấn đề liên quan đến khoa học giáo dục;
Ứng dụng lí thuyết để phát triển kĩ năng
- Phát triển các kĩ năng của nguồn nhân lực thông qua các khóa bồi dưỡng, các lớp tập huấn và liên kết đào tạo trong và ngoài nước;
- Ứng dụng các thành tựu của khoa học giáo dục vào đời sống.
Dịch vụ tra cứu, chỉ dẫn thông tin:
Tra cứu, chỉ dẫn thông tin giáo dục của Việt Nam cho bạn bè quốc tế;
-Tra cứu, chỉ dẫn thông tin và cung cấp tư liệu cho các đề tài nghiên cứu khoa học, luận văn, luận án thạc sĩ, tiến sĩ trong lĩnh vực giáo dục, các tư liệu nghiên cứu, giảng dạy.
-Tra cứu, chỉ dẫn thông tin du học
- Thực hiện các hợp đồng dịch thuật; dịch thuật các tư liệu mới, có ích trong lĩnh vực giáo dục
- Chuyển giao kiến thức, công nghệ cho các cộng đồng Việt Nam qua việc tổ chức các hội thảo, semina khoa học, xuất bản các ấn phẩm khoa học;
Hỗ trợ các đối tượng khó khăn tiếp cận cơ hội học tập, khoa học công nghệ tiên tiến để phát triển tiềm năng và hưởng thụ tinh hoa văn hóa của các nước.
- Phổ biến các kết quả nghiên cứu của Viện.

Iferd is a private, non-profit organization that brings together Vietnamese and international scholars who focus on educational creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Institute for Educational Research and Development is a private, non-profit organization that brings together Vietnamese and international scholars who focus on educational creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. It is operated under Vietnamese Laws, under the Law for Science and Technology, The Government Decision No 81/2002/NĐ-CP dated on 17/10/2002 and other laws. The institute is self-governed, has its own seal, and has its own domestic and foreign accounts.
IFERD conducts research projects, courses on skill development and provides services in the educational fields.
Research: IFERD conducts research projects in education and in other scientific areas relating to education; focuses on appication of ICT in Education.
Skill Development: IFERD offers courses for Skill Development that focuses on the 21st century skills (in which creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship are central). These courses are provided mostly on online and through joint training programs with other educational organizations in and outside Vietnam to develop creative citizens and highly qualified human resources for the country;
Services: The Institute provides consulting services for research activities, scholarly publications, supplies new research materials for Master's theses, PhD dissertations in education, materials for teaching and learning; provides services for study overseas, services for community development, organizes conferences, scientific seminars, translation, etc. as requested.
Although iferd has been established for only three months, but it has made great efforts and achieved some its objectives
1) Established a network for professional activities
2) Announced about Iferd’s creative education on Vietnam Net and therefore, widenation known about iferd & creative education
3) Iferd’s leaders took part in the Hanoi’s Schools’ workshop on tech. & Science creativity
3)Guide two students to write thesis on creative education
4) An article on Creative Education has been published in the workshop proceeding of Vietnam’s Education and Psychology Association’s Conference
5) Meeting with political officers about putting creative education in the new education decree 2011-2020
6) More people take part iferd’s activities (website visitors + volunteering work)
